The Highway Series is back!  Orlando will have four 8-person match play teams who will compete against 8 person teams from each of 7 other chapters in Florida/South Georgia.  Event is full.  If you want to sign up as a back up contact Susan Macina.

 2017  EWGA CUP MATCH PLAY 

Finals to be held at LPGA Daytona, October 28-29

This team match play event is held in two stages – two-day regional qualifiers at one of six locations held in September and a national championship. Teams of eight women compete in Four Ball and Single Match Play with the top four teams from each qualifier advancing to the Finals.

2017 EWGA CHAMPIONSHIP - Oct 7-8

The EWGA Championship is the largest women's amateur golf tournament of its kind with more than 2,400 members participating. With 5 flights of Stroke Play Competition and Inter-Chapter Team Scramble formats, this competitive tournament golf appeals to members of all skill levels. Qualifying starts at the local chapter then moves on to 15 district semi-finals and culminating in the exciting national two-day Finals.

Know Your Handicap

The purpose of the USGA Handicap System is to make the game of golf more enjoyable by enabling players of differing abilities to compete on an equitable basis. A Handicap Index compares a player's scoring ability to the scoring ability of a scratch golfer on a course of standard difficulty. Having a handicap index allows golfers to participate in more events (those that require a handicap index), have a measureable means of tracking improvement, and allows score adjustments to even the playing field when playing with golfers of different skill levels.
